The Conservation team assists the Northern and Southern Resource Managers prep units for prescribe burns, assist with prescribe burns, maintain tools and equipment, and assist with a variety of other land management needs. Applicants must be in good physical shape, be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions, and capable of doing a variety of physical tasks such as lots of walking, carrying a backpack (could be backpack blower or sprayer), cutting up and moving logs from fire lines, and walking through woods in a variety of terrain carrying hand tools, Work can include but not limited to, prescribe fire and fire prep, invasive plant control, native habitat restoration, The job runs from December 1- May 15. Housing and state vehicle, as well as a travel allowance, are provided to employees. Work can range anywhere on Georgia State Parks, or on partners land. This is a full-time, seasonal position.
