Clinical Director

This is a full-time, in-office benefitted position. In-office time will be largely spent at our Gardner, MA headquarters, though MVOC operates 5 properties throughout Gardner as well as one in Winchendon.  Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with on call hours as needed. Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful licensed clinical director will oversee counselors, case managers, and outreach staff as well as provide clinical counseling, referral screening, and other therapeutic services to U.S. military veterans as clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Provides supervision to counselors, case managers, and outreach coordinator
  • Reviews housing applications, including conducting applicant psychosocial assessment to determine fit for housing programs
  • In conjunction with Executive Director, oversee housing programs in alignment with state and federal requirements, and work closely with case managers to stay on top of housing issues
  • Review all initial referrals for counseling and assign to appropriate counselor or self (carrying a caseload of no more than 8-10 clients)
  • Conduct client assessments, coordinate services, and provide individual and group therapy to both residential and community clients
  • Maintain working relationship with community, city, county, state and federal service agencies as well as veteran service organizations to locate and provide services to veterans
  • Maintain accurate records for all counseling activities and daily statistics.
  • Promote program awareness through contact and correspondence with various individuals, agencies, and organizations
  • Provide staff support during crisis scenarios

·        Facilitate an person-centered, collaborative approach toward clients, staff, and providers

Requirements:

  • Master’s or terminal degree in mental health counseling, social work, or related field
  • Active license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice (LCSW, LHMC, or similar)
  • 5+ years experience in a clinical counseling setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to client-centric care process
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and client database software
  • Clinical experience in PTSD, military sexual trauma, substance use disorders, and/or family relationship counselor preferred
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Veteran status preferred

 

Pay Range: $70,000-80,000 (commensurate with experience)
