Job Description

Girl Scouts-North Carolina Coastal Pines is a dynamic organization committed to empowering girls and fostering leadership through engaging programs and community involvement. We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Inside Sales Manager to join our Membership Department and drive the recruitment of new girl and adult members across our footprint.


Day in the Life:

 

  • Membership Strategy Development: Drive achievement of membership goals by developing and implementing effective strategies for new girl and adult members in assigned areas.
  • CRM Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge of the Girl Scouts-North Carolina Coastal Pines' CRM system to seamlessly manage leads from initiation to successful recruitment closure.
  • Lead Management and Decision-Making: Effectively manage external recruitment leads, making decisions to increase troop membership by collaborating with the team, developing action plans, and ensuring fulfillment.
  • Troop Establishment: Take the lead in establishing new troops by converting adult leads into troop co-leaders, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the organization.
  • Engagement and Recruitment Execution: Execute engagement and recruitment strategies outlined in the council’s strategic plan, annual business plan, and other goals, generating increased leads for both girls and volunteers.
  • In-Person Event Participation: Act as a partner in membership growth by actively participating in identified in-person lead generation and registration events.
  • Online Troop Catalog Optimization: Develop and implement strategies for the online troop catalog, providing insight and analysis to optimize troop placement, identify development opportunities, and champion growth areas.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in girl and adult-related trends, multicultural data, demographics, effective communication, and marketing techniques, contributing to the implementation of a comprehensive membership recruitment plan.
  • Data Analysis: Prepare and analyze troop membership reports to identify gaps and inform strategic decisions for targeted recruitment efforts.
  • Exceptional Customer Support: Provide outstanding customer support by proactively addressing potential members' inquiries, problem-solving, and managing follow-ups to ensure a positive experience.
  • Departmental Support: Act as ongoing support for members of the Membership Department, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate across departments by sharing resources and expertise, participating in special projects at other regional offices as needed, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
  • Ability to work with volunteers and community contacts from diverse backgrounds and to build an effective volunteer base and strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and verbal fluency. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be proficient speaking before groups.
  • Must have access to car in working order and the ability to travel; Must have a NC registered and insured vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet navigation and usage, social media, and customer relationship management systems.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move minimum of 25 pounds.
