Title: NAPSA Development Coordinator


Purpose: To increase revenue and visibility of the National Adult Protective Services Association through event planning and management, fundraising, and identifying and assisting with grant and foundation funding proposals.


Description: We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and organized Development Coordinator. This position will lead and administer all fundraising efforts for NAPSA. The primary duties include scheduling and planning events, overseeing event budgets, and ensuring the communication of all events and fundraising efforts. This position supervises NAPSA’s Administrative Assistant.


Responsibilities:

 Responsible for planning, leading, and executing all NAPSA events.

 Work with NAPSA staff to establish realistic budgets for events.

 Utilize the NAPSA website, social media, and other marketing to promote events.

 Assume full responsibility for fundraising efforts including sponsorships, exhibitor opportunities and donations.

 Research grant, corporate, and foundation funding opportunities.

 Assist in writing grant and foundation funding proposals.

 Supervise Admin Assistant & provide back-up in that position’s absence, ensure staff support to NAPSA committees, subcommittees, and members.

 Assist with production, editing, and layout of association materials.

 Technology: update and maintain NAPSA website; establish and monitor NAPSA listserv(s)

 Manage NAPSA’s social media.


Job Requirements:

 Professional written and interpersonal skills.

 Communication and timeliness of response to members, stakeholders, and funders.

 Foster positive relationships with current and potential funders.

 Knowledge of web content management systems, event scheduling software, web survey software, web marketing software, social networking.

 2+ years’ experience working in fundraising and event management.

 Ability to prioritize and manage several projects efficiently.

 Experience planning large-scale events and fundraisers.

 Ability to generate interest in the company or program and reach out to appropriate supporters/funders.

 Experience working with a diverse team and promoting a positive brand image.

 Experience with using event software (such as Cvent) and familiarity and understanding of adult protective services is a plus.

 Travel is required to the annual NAPSA Conference and other events as determined by the Executive Director.
