WANTED: A Director of Music & the Arts for the 1st Congregational UCC of Charlevoix
Do you like to share your knowledge and love of music? Are you creative, innovative, and flexible? If so, help us open the doors of musical possibility at First Congregational Church of Charlevoix.
We are a unique and non-traditional congregation, whose open theology requires that we express ourselves through a great variety of musical genres and configurations. We love and make connections with everything from Fanny Crosby to Crosby Stills and Nash. Our church family is looking for an open-minded, progressive leader ready to open the door for all those who want to offer their musical talent to the congregation and beyond. We’re looking for a dynamic and multifaceted director who can work with a choir, a small ensemble, and even some instrumental groups. We’re also looking for someone who can help our entire congregation experience the joy of both singing and making music together.
Applicants must have experience as a Music Leader and Choir Performer and Leader, and a college degree is preferred.
Salary ranges from $12,000 to $13,500. The position is part-time at 5-6 very flexible hours per week.
