Deputy Director of Development

 

The Deputy Director of Development is responsible for the research, identification and creation of funding proposals to prospective corporate and foundation partners. Additionally, they manage a portfolio of private and corporate foundations, cultivating and stewarding strong relationships and partnerships. They are also responsible for, in collaboration with the Director of Development, informing the overall grant strategy, and for tracking and reporting on current and prospective funder status. This position works in collaboration with other relationship managers in the Development Department (events and membership).


The position requires strong writing skills and competency with social media platforms.

 

Other qualifications

 

·        Candidates will have a BA/BS degree

 

·        Highly organized, detail oriented, and possessing strong time management skills

 

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and meeting deadlines

 

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google docs, etc.).

 

·        Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, vimeo) as the position plays a lead role in the Conservancy’s SM Task Force

 

Responsibilities

 

·        The Deputy Director of Development is a key part of the fundraising team that supports the Landmarks Conservancy’s programs to protect the art, architecture, and history of New York.

 

·        Manage a portfolio of foundation and corporate funders through the full grant cycle.

 

·        Take a leadership role in the organization’s social media campaigns
