Description:
Full-time position for an experienced, dedicated, and collegial individual who wants to be part of community nonprofit on New York’s Upper East Side.
The individual selected will share the organization’s commitment to the mission* and work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors in coordinating the Conservancy’s multi-faceted operations, communications, marketing, programming, financial and civic undertakings.
The individual will provide administrative support to the Executive Director. Tasks will include, but not be limited to, extensive database management, document and report preparation, donor-base and website management, and complex scheduling.
Responsibilities:
Process and classify donations into the database, Blackbaud eTapestry) timely
Maintain database
Generate targeted reports on a regular and as-needed basis
Identity and distribute timely development information
Assist with donor solicitations and invitations
Prepare audit materials
Organize multiple committee meetings
Provide research about current and potential donors
Manage entire bench plaque program
Assist with the planning of in-park events and logistical support on site
Create physical and digital materials for events, appeals, invitations, etc.
Print and mail or hand-deliver board and donor related materials
Communicate with local constituency about Conservancy matters and answer questions.
Monitor and update Conservancy’s website
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Substantial Non-Profit and Admin/Operations experience
Be detail oriented, responsible, and strong follow-through skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Database (eTapestry/Raiser's Edge) experience strongly preferred; ability to generate reports/statistics required.
Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign especially) experience a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Google Suite (Drive, Docs, and Sheets)
Be fully vaccinated, or have medical/religious exemption
*Mission: The mission of Carl Schurz Park Conservancy is to restore and beautify Carl Schurz Park, complementing the efforts of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Our goal is to enhance the public’s enjoyment and involvement in the Park. The Conservancy organizes volunteers to execute its projects and sponsors community events that are open to all.
