Delivery/Pickup Driver

SAFE of Transylvania County is a Non-Profit in Brevard, NC. We are professional, agile, supportive and The Mission of SAFE is to lead our community in eliminating domestic violence and sexual violence through prevention, advocacy, education, and healing. It is SAFE's vision to prevent domestic and sexual violence through education, advocacy, and appropriate intervention. All victims of domestic violence and sexual violence will be provided safety, treated with dignity and respect and given the opportunity to create long lasting changes that will result in a life free of violence and abuse. Our two thrift stores assist us in providing these programs to the community.

General Summary

Driver/ Maintenance Assistant will pick-up and deliver furniture and home goods. Perform a variety of Maintenance duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness for the Resale Stores and SAFE properties. Maintains daily mileage and maintenance logs. Drives truck as needed. Consistently maintains a team oriented, friendly, positive, hardworking attitude, and enjoy greeting people.

Working Description

• Work takes place primarily at the SAFE Resale Stores (Tuesday- Saturday; Closed Sunday and Monday), its main offices, its shelter, and out in the community.
• Picking up and delivering furniture and home goods (This job will require the moving and delivery of large items such as furniture. Must be able to properly use hand trucks, Dolly's, straps and lifts.)
• Help with special events and large pickups
• Interact positively and professionally with donors and customers
• Learn and follow store policies and procedures
• Must be committed to the agencies mission
