Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Executive Director to create a fund development plan which increases revenues to support the strategic direction of the organization
Execute Hope’s Legacy Equine Rescue’s annual fundraising plan
Develop a major gifts program and a planned giving program
Raise funds for the annual fund
grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements
Create annual fundraising newsletters (spring and fall)
Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
Overseeing organization of special events
Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
Qualifications
Must embrace the mission of Hope’s Legacy Equine Rescue
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
Possess the skills to work with and motivate board members and other volunteers.
Have the desire to get out of the office and build external relationships.
Be a “self-starter” and goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls.
Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals.
Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability.
