Our CFO will oversee and manage an operating budget of approximately $14 million, which includes over 15 different programs, an apartment building, Medicaid reimbursements, public and private grants, and donations. With a team of four, the CFO will work closely with the CEO to set direction of the agency, brainstorm out-of-the-box thinking for revenue generation, and ensure the highest level of integrity and accountability to the finance team.



This position begins at $135K and comes up with a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

This position is responsible for fiscal activities of agency, either directly or indirectly through monitoring other programs.



QUALIFICATIONS


1. Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.


2. Knowledge of fund accounting, budgeting, and payroll is required.


3. Requires at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for:


a. Financial statements for the agency, complete with graphs, narrative, and custom spreadsheets.


b. Cash receipts and disbursements for administration and all other programs.


c. Bank reconciliations for bank and money market accounts.


d. Weekly and bi-weekly payroll and related tax filings.


e. Monthly, quarterly and annual City and foundation reports.


f. Assist with annual City audit, supplying appropriate schedule, program documentation and other support as necessary.


g. Quarterly and annual funding reports.


h. Maintain database for general ledger.


i. Assure all fiscal procedures are consistent with relevant procedures/regulations.


j. Monitor revenues and expenditures agency-wide.


k. Prepare monthly financial statements.


l. Coordinate annual budget preparation with CEO, Program Coordinators, and Board of Directors.


m. Prepare for and assist with annual audits for all programs, supplying appropriate schedules, program documentation, and other audit support as necessary.


n. File all necessary tax forms and returns.


0. Assist Program Coordinators with fiscal monitoring.



Fund Raising/Development
1. Prepare fiscal information for grant proposals.


2. Participate in agency-wide fundraising activities.



Other Duties
1. Carry out all duties in a manner that is consistent with HW mission, philosophy, and policies.


2. Duties may be changed based on agency needs.

QUALIFICATIONS


1. Education: Bachelor's (Required)


2. Experience:



CFO: 4 years (Required)

Non-Proft: 2 years (Preferred)


3. License/Certification:
