Community Based Counselor – Full Time, 40 Hours per week
Responsible for the following job duties:
The Counselor is responsible for providing clinical assessment and intensive, specialized mental health treatment to child and adolescent victims of abuse and neglect and exposure to domestic violence.
The Counselor will also provide counseling to family members of victims, as needed, to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment of the child/adolescent victim.
Mental health treatment will be provided in community-based settings as scheduled.
The Counselor will coordinate service delivery with community agencies and conduct outreach to make Counseling services available throughout the ReadyKids catchment area, particularly in the aftermath of community based traumatic incidents.
Successful candidates will have:
Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
State licensure in designated field required.
Minimum of 2 years experience working with children, adolescents and families.
Knowledge of treatment needs of abused and neglected children.
Ability to organize time effectively and to meet assigned work demands.
Strong leadership skills and desire to take initiative.
Willingness to respond proactively to community needs.
Compensation/Benefits:
Starting salary: $50,000
