Nurse Coordinator

Charlottesville Free Clinic

Job Description

Description

The Charlottesville Free Clinic (CFC) believes that healthcare is a basic human right: no one should be forced to decide between seeking medical attention and buying groceries for their family due to lack of insurance. For 30 years, CFC has been an open door to high-quality healthcare for thousands of uninsured and underinsured members of our community, at no cost to them. We fill a unique position within Virginia’s health safety net.

CFC’s business model combines a streamlined staff supported by a robust network of healthcare professionals who volunteer their skills and time to help care for our patients. We have a staff of 20 and a volunteer pool of about 800. Our medical clinic and dental clinic care for approximately 3,000 patients annually across 7,500 visits, and our pharmacy fills more than 18,000 prescriptions a year. Our services include primary care, specialized care (e.g., dermatology, gynecology, cardiology and many others), mental health and integrated care, dental services and oral surgery. As a nonprofit organization, CFC raises funds from individuals, foundations, businesses, local and state government agencies and special events.
