 Reporting directly to the Director of Operations you will create a marketing plan that builds on the LES Brand, a social media presence, and utilizes multi-channel media to build awareness of LES leading nature connection programs. You’ll facilitate events and support grants and fundraising efforts across the org.

 Working with the Administration Director you will be trained and develop your skills on all the back office operational systems and processes that support program enrollment and operations. 

 A team player you will interface with the Executive Director, Website Designer, Director of Operations and our participants and community. You will bring competencies that include, not limited to; organization, collaboration, attention to details, excellent communication and writing skills.





Job Duties

Marketing & Development Plan and schedule:



A Marketing Plan and Schedule for the LES organization 

Create, compile, design and execute marketing efforts to attract participants to LES programs. 

Create and manage marketing budget

Social media content creation and communication

Track and measure marketing effectiveness, report results to Director of Operations



Radio, Social media (FB, Instagram, etc.), magazine ads, website, etc.





Community Outreach – assist in driving LES into a more diversified organization; from staff to participants, LES desires participants to be representative of the whole community. 

Creation of recruitment marketing outreach program to increase scholarship participation from the local community

Support the registration of scholarship participants

Creation of external email marketing to LES community via MailChimp

Promotional material







Support Executive Director in fundraising efforts



Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Giving Tuesday

Annual Fundraising program

Foundation and Grant management



Events



Support the creation and execution of LES workshop events

Support the creation and execution of LES fundraising events

Supports LES Staff training, meeting planning and delivery of staff meetings







Skills Required

Qualifications and Competencies

A curious, fun, achievement oriented, creative, motivated person. 

Positive attitude with growth mindset 

Detail-oriented with organizational skills

Must have the capability for time-management and to manage multiple priorities and actions at once

Must possess excellent and oral, written, and interpersonal skills

Experience in art, photography, and graphic design

Skilled in branding and seeing branding opportunities

Familiarity with marketing design on social media and email platforms

Experience posting and managing content on social media platforms

Familiarity with MS Office programs, MS Excel and Google Docs, GDrive, Zoom, Canva, Mailchimp, etc.

Possess the ability to work diligently with minimal supervision

Residence in the Charlottesville area required.

Legal status to work in the USA

Beneficial skills to Possess

Bi-lingual in spanish

Love of Nature, outdoors, and a naturalist

Desire to learn all about the business

Desire to grow professionally and build a career with LES
