Description
The Assistant Manager, Donation Pickups and Operations, is an integral member of the Twice is Nice management team and is responsible for facilitating, organizing and recording all aspects of donation pickups. The Assistant Manager will be cross trained in all departments and aspects of TIN operations and function as a “swing staff” able to help with processing our increasing donation volume and assisting with frontline customer service and cashiering duties. In addition, the Assistant Manager is expected to provide some administrative support to the Operations Manager. The Assistant Manager has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude, is prepared to help wherever help is needed, and serves as a professional role model to volunteers and fellow staff.
Job Duties
DONATION PICKUPS
Review initial pickup inquiries with Furniture/Housewares manager
Organize pickup team
Arrange pickup details with donor
Maintain and distribute weekly pickup schedule
Prepare pickup forms
Update pickup spread sheet weekly
Communicate with Furniture/Housewares Manager daily re: status of pending pickups
Occasionally assist with pickups
Monitor and arrange van maintenance and gas
OPERATIONS
Cross train in all departments and aspects of TIN operations
Home furnishing processing, assist as needed with high volume and fill in for staff/volunteer absence
Clothes processing, assist as needed with high volume and fill in for staff/volunteer absence
Frontline Cashier and Customer Service duties (opening and closing about 8 hours per week), additional as needed with high volume and fill in for staff/volunteer absence
Administrative support for Operations Manager, i.e. weekly deposits, monitoring change bag and petty cash, reviewing bills, technical and computer support
Assist keeping shops organized to encourage efficiency in operations

REQUIREMENTS
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage time efficiently
Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
Team player prepared to help wherever help is needed
Ability to function well in fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills (Familiarity with G Suite, Mail Chimp and Clover a plus.)
Work a minimum of one full Saturday per month.
Able to handle the physical demands of the job, including moving furniture and carrying boxes of donations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Retail experience preferred
Interest in working for small, fun, local nonprofit
Support thrifting and our mission “to raise revenue to benefit seniors in need, while promoting sustainability through the resale of donated clothing, furniture, and household items.”
